This recipe is so simple it’s not even the case to call it recipe. To recreate this wonderful and healthy snack all you are going to need are:

1 medjool dates ( as many as you want, in my case a lot )

2 almond butter ( raw, pure, with nothing else inside but almonds)

All you have to do is:

– pit your medjool dates ( you can use the normal ones if you want to but the medjoul are more creamy and tasty, almost like toffee )

– cut them in halves

– with a knife spread a bit of almond butter on every piece

– arrange them in a box with a lid

– place the box in the freezer

– wait for at least 4 hours

– eat them

Of course there is no need to eat them all at one time, even though I always do that ( I swear by the end of this post they are all gone ). If you can resist you can keep them in the freezer and eat them any time you crave something sweet yet very healthy. Dates and almonds have lots of good properties, essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. I like to keep something like this to stop, me from reach non healthy treats when I crave sweet things. During summer I even eat them for breakfast.
