During these autumn days the priority for skin and hair is hydration. All the products that I’m ‘devouring’ right now are meant to bring relief after sun, heat and salty water.
All products are extensively tested by me with great satisfaction, and I recommend them to all who want to be well prepared for the cold weather.
1 KHADI AMLA OIL
It ‘s a miraculous oil especially for thin and prone to split ends hair: it has reinforcing, restructuring and moisturizing properties. The best feature of this oil is certainly the shine that gives my hair from the first application.
You can keep it on the lengths for 30 minutes before washing it out. But I prefer to leave it for much longer, even overnight when I can. The results are great.
You can also apply a few drops on the scalp, massaging it for a few minutes if you want to strengthen the roots.
Unlike other products containing amla (such as Khadi amla shampoo ) this oil does not darken the hair and it can therefore be used even by those who, like me, has light hair.
2 SEPHORA EYE MASK HYALURONIC ACID
If you want soft and hydrated skin around the eyes in just 10 minutes and on a budget, this mask with hyaluronic acid is the one for you. It has a very pleasant and soft texture, slightly gelatinous and fresh. I keep it in the fridge and when I feel tired, after 10 hours spent staring at the screen of a computer, I usually turn on a podcast or an audiobook, I apply this mask over the eyes and I give myself 10 regenerating minutes.
Package directions call it ‘disposable’ but personally I find that you can do at least three applications with good results.
3 CAUDALIE MOUSSE
During summer months I’ve been using cleansing oils, tring to preserve the little tan that I had on my fac. Now it’s time to move on to deeper cleansing in order to remove dead cells and make the complexion bright again. For these purposes I always use the formidable combo Clarisonic + mousse Caudalie. Just one ‘pump’ of this mousse is enough to cover the entire face before using the Clarisonic (I use it with the sensitive head). I’ve used this combo for years with short breaks during summer or for testing other products, but in the end I always come back here, because this combo is really the best for me.
4 ANTIPODES EYE CREAM
I did an entire blog post on the brand Antipodes and on this product ( you can read it here ), but I have to mention it if it comes to hydration and recovery from sun damages. What can I say..this eye cream is the best one I have ever used. It’s a bit pricey, but you will use a very small amount and the jar lasts a long time.
5 BIG SALT SHAMPOO LUSH
Maybe it’s nostalgia for the past holidays, but this product got me immediately. This shampoo seems like a scrub with sea salt micro-granules but then massaging it with water it becomes creamy. Suitable for straight hair without volume it actually makes ‘big’ the hairstyle. You will not see dramatic results, but it does his duty and it’s also a pleasure to use.
