But if you want to make a moment together sweeter, plus demonstrating to care about their health, this recipe is right for you.
With very few ingredients you can prepare these small organic and vegan pastries, sweet and crispy perfect for tea time or after dinner (my Valentine also eats them for breakfast).
Here are few things you are going to need:
2 cups of organic puffed quinoa
half a cup of organic maple syrup
half a cup of organic coconut butter (a few seconds in a water bath and it will become oil)
half a cup of cocoa or carob powder
I use measuring cups because, if necessary, it will be easier to increase in proportion.
Start by pouring the quinoa in a bowl
Then add coconut oil (helped out by your cat, if you have one ^^)
then add maple syrup
and the cocoa or carob powder
and stir to distribute the ingredients
then place small cake molds (I use muffin cups) on a flat dish
and fill each mold with about 1 tablespoon of mixture
once you’ve finished the mixture put the dish in the refrigerator. Coconut oil will become butter again, making these delicious pastries compact and shiny.
Serve right out of the fridge and store them in the refrigerator again.
